9 Day - Italy's Best to include Rome, Florence & Venice.

Day One - Airport Transfer - Rome
Arrive into Rome Airport, where you will be met by your driver for the transfer into central Rome.  On arrival check-in at your centrally located hotel, which will be your base for the next 4 nights followed by the rest of the day to rest and relax after your long journey.

Day Two - Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour - Rome
After breakfast an opportunity to explore Rome at your own pace on an extensive hop-on hop-off open top bus tour of the city with stops at 9 major tourist sights.    Rest of the day is at leisure in Rome.

Day Three - Ancient Rome Walking Tour - Rome 
After breakfast join a set departure Ancient Rome walking tour through Rome's 2,000 years of history with an expert guide who'll bring the past alive. You'll have a hands-on history lesson at key ancient sites including the Colosseum, Forum and Pantheon on this fascinating half-day tour. The entertaining and informative three-hour walking tour will reveal Rome's many secrets.  On then for an afternoon walking tour of the Vatican Museums and St Peter's Basilica, to explore the world's most extensive collection of art. Brilliantly decorated and lined with masterpieces, the museums are brimming with treasures and history. Your guide will lead you through the 2000 rooms that stretch over almost nine miles, and share the stories and secrets contained within the Vatican's walls.  Highlights of the museums are Michelangelo's famous Creation of Adam fresco in the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms. After taking in the Vatican Museums, you will encounter another of Michelangelo's masterpieces, La Pieta, in St Peter's Basilica. For a fascinating finish to your small group guided walking tour, stop to admire magnificent St Peter's Square, as your guide points out Bernini's ingenious use of optical illusion.

Day Four - Train to Florence - Walking Tour of Florence - Florence
After breakfast take an independent taxi to the station for the train to Florence.  On arrival check-in at your centrally located hotel and this will be your base for the next 3 nights.  In the afternoon enjoy a private walking tour of the City and an opportunity in immerse yourself in the history of Florence and the times of the Renaissance with an informative and entertaining walk around the historical centre of Florence.

Day Five - Bike Tour of Tuscany - Florence
Today enjoy a Tuscany bike tour just south of Florence in the heart of the Chianti wine region and includes wine and oil tasting, a visit to a charming 12th century medieval castle and lunch in a quaint family owned restaurant which nestles amongst the Florentine hills.

Day Six - Florence
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Florence for some independent sightseeing.

Day Seven - Train to Venice - Gondola Ride - Venice
Take an independent taxi to the station for the train to Venice and on arrival check-in at your centrally located, which will be your base for the next 2 nights.   In the evening enjoy a serenaded Gondola Ride along the Grand Canal to capture the magic of Venice.

Day Eight - Walking Tour of Venice - Story of Venice - Venice
After breakfast enjoy a walking tour of Venice to include St. Mark's and its famous landmarks, interior of St Mark's Basilica, Marco Polo's House & Legend, Pantheon of Venice, Merchants Warehouse, Architecture of Venice, and a journey through the labyrinth of the Hidden Venice. Rest of the day is at leisure for independent sightseeing. In the evening attend the Story of Venice, where a thousand years of history is brought to life, as live performers combine with spectacular moving projections on the walls and ceiling, and breathtaking surround-sound, bringing to life the events of the city's glorious past. Be transported to the worlds of Marco Polo, Casanova, Vivaldi and Lord Byron: step into the colourful Carnival party atmosphere as costumed characters present you with trays of hot and cold finger food and fine regional wines before making your way into the auditorium to find your seat ready for the show to begin.  Set in 1913, a family of mask and costume makers prepare for the last of the grand Carnival masquerades. As they handle costumes collected over the centuries they re-live the stories of Venice:  the theft of the body of St. Mark, the boom of the merchant empire, the triumphant battle of Lepanto, Casanova's daring escape and the birth of Carnival itself.

Day Nine - Airport Transfer  
After breakfast take the transfer to Venice Airport for your return flight home.
